“BanG Dream! FILM LIVE 2nd Stage” Anime To Open August 2021

The official website for “BanG Dream! FILM LIVE 2nd Stage” recently announced that the film is set to be released August 20, 2021 in Japan.

“BanG Dream Film Live 2nd Stage” will be the second anime film in the BanG Dream! franchise following “BanG Dream FILM LIVE”, which was released September 2019. The official tagline is "Bring You the Greatest Live, Once Again!". Poppin'Party, Afterglow, Pastel*Palettes, Roselia, Hello, Happy World!, Morfonica and RAISE A SUILEN are confirmed to perform in the second film.

In addition, a special CD with songs for the film and a bonus Blu-ray of the first film “BanG Dream! FILM LIVE”, is set to be released on August 25, 2021.

The BanG Dream! franchise also has 2 more films focusing on the "Roselia" in-story band being released this year. “BanG Dream! Episode of Roselia I: Yakusoku (Promise)” is set to open on April 23, 2021 and “BanG Dream! Episode of Roselia II: Song I am.” is set to open on June 25, 2021.

In 2022, “BanG Dream! Poppin' Dream!” is slated to be released.

“BanG Dream!” Season 1 premiered in January 2017 in Japan and was simulcast on Crunchyroll in the US. Season 2 premiered January 2019 in Japan and was simulcast on both Crunchyroll and HIDIVE after Sentai Filmworks licensed the anime. Seasons 1 and 2 can be currently streamed on Crunchyroll and HIDIVE.

Season 3 of “BanG Dream!” premiered January 2020 and was simulcast on HIDIVE and is currently available to stream. All 3 seasons plus the first film are available to purchase on Blu-ray.
