Funimation Announces “Mieruko-chan” Anime English Dub

Streamer Funimation announced today the English dubbing of the horror anime “Mieruko-chan”. Episode 1 of the English dub is set to premiere on December 12, 2021. The series is currently being simulcast on Funimation as part of their Fall 2021 Anime Season Lineup.

The English dub cast includes Alexis Tipton as “Miko”, Sarah Wiedenheft as “Hana” and Lindsay Sheppard as “Yulia”.

Funimation Synopsis: She can see dead people…she just chooses to ignore them. That’s Miko’s plan, anyway, but it doesn’t seem to be working for her in this love letter to the horror genre that will send shivers down your spine—and occasionally tickle your funny bone.

Based on Tomoki Izumi’s horror-comedy manga “Mieruko-chan”, the series first premiered in October 2021 with studio Passione handling animation and Yuki Ogawa as director. The English dubbing ADR production will be handled by Sound Cadence Studios.

Additional English dub cast include: Suzie Yeung as “Kyousuke”, Elizabeth Maxwell as “Tohko”, Michael Sorich as “Mamoru”, Erica Schroeder as “Arai”, Dawn M. Bennett as “Mao”, Steven Kelly as “Junji”, and Sarah Williams as “Hitoe”.

The manga is currently being published in English by publisher Yen Press. Volume 4 was released on November 16, 2021 and Volume 5 is set to be released on May 17, 2022.
