Funimation Announces “Otherside Picnic” Anime English Dub
Streamer Funimation announced today the English dubbing of the Yuri sci-fi anime “Otherside Picnic”. All 12 episodes of the English dub are set to premiere on November 15, 2021.
The English voice cast for the mystery series includes Madeleine Morris as “Sorawo Kamikoshi”, Emily Neves as “Toriko Nishina”, Sarah Wiedenheft as “Kozakura”, and AmaLee as “Akari Seto”.
Funimation Synopsis: Moments from death, Sorawo is saved by the mysterious Toriko in the world of the Otherside. Entranced by its beauty, she discovers that this dimension is inhabited by monsters once thought imaginary. Joining with Toriko in her search for a missing friend, they set out to explore this nightmare realm and maybe make a little money. What they encounter could bring enlightenment—or drive them mad!
Based on the Yuri light novels by Iori Miyazawa, “Otherside Picnic” (Urasekai Picnic) was released in January 2021 and was simulcast as it aired in Japan on Funimation. The anime was produced by studio LIDENFILMS and Felix Film with Takuya Satou as director.
J-Novel Club is currently publishing the “Otherside Picnic” light novels in English. Volume 6 of the light novels is set to be released digitally on November 15, 2021. Square Enix is currently publishing the manga series in English. Volume 2 of the manga is set to be released on April 26, 2022.
