Funimation To Stream “Girls' Frontline” Anime

Streamer Funimation announced today the simulcast rights to the upcoming action anime “Girls' Frontline”. The series is set to premiere on January 7, 2021 and will be a part of Funimation’s Winter 2022 Anime Season lineup.

Funimation will simulcast the series to audiences in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Colombia, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.

Funimation Synopsis: In a world where nations have been ruined by warfare, private companies with android armies are hired to fight the rogue android army named Sangvis Ferri.

The anime stars Haruka Tomatsu as “M4A1”, Nozomi Yamane as “M16A1”, Emiri Kato as “ST AR-15”, Yukari Tamura as “M4 SOPMOD II”, Mikako Komatsu as “Gentiane”, Nao Tōyama as “Kalina”, Hitomi Nabatame as “Agent”, Kaya Okuno as “Scarecrow”, and Shizuka Itou as “Executioner”.

Know in Japan as “Dolls' Frontline”, the anime is adapted from SUNBORN Network’s popular “Girls’ Frontline” mobile strategy game that was released in 2018 and developed by MICA TEAM. The anime was originally set to be released in 2021 but was delayed. Shigeru Ueda will be directing the series with Asahi Productions handling the animation and Warner Bros. Japan is producing.
