Funimation To Stream “Slow Loop” Anime
Streamer Funimation announced today the simulcast rights to the upcoming slice-of-life fishing anime “Slow Loop”. The series is set to premiere on January 7, 2021 and will be a part of Funimation’s Winter 2022 Anime Season lineup.
Funimation will simulcast the series to audiences in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Colombia, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.
Funimation Synopsis: Nervous to meet her new stepdad, Hiyori heads to the place she always feels at home—the ocean. When a curious girl named Koharu shows up, Hiyori decides to teach her how to fish, just like her father did before he died. But after Koharu reveals she’s also meeting her new family that night, the girls come to a startling realization. Their friendship is about to reach a whole new level!
“Slow Loop” stars Rin Kuzumi as “Hiyori Kainagi”, Natsumi Hioka as “Koharu Kainag”, and Tomomi Mineuchi as “Yoshinaga Koi”. The ending theme song, "Shuwa Shuwa", will be preformed by the lead cast, under the unit name Three ∞ Loop.
The anime is based on Maiko Uchino’s manga of the same name, which has been serialized in Manga Time Kirara Forward in Japan since 2018 and currently has four volumes. CONNECT will be handling the animation with Noriaki Akitaya directing.
