“Revue Starlight” Releases 1st 4 Minutes Of Upcoming Anime Film
The official website for the “Revue Starlight” franchise released the first 4 minutes of the upcoming anime film. The “Revue Starlight” movie is set to be released June 4, 2021 in Japan.
The film was originally set to be released May 21, 2021 but was delayed due to COVID-19 pandemic. The film will be a sequel to the TV anime that was released in 2018. No US release for the new film has been announced as of yet.
“Revue Starlight” is a multimedia franchise created by Bushiroad that includes staged musicals, anime, a game and manga.
Sentai Filmworks licensed the TV anime in the US and released it on blu-ray. The 12-episode series is also currently available to stream on HIDIVE in subtitles and English dubbing.
Synopsis: Childhood friends Karen and Hikari made a promise that, together, they would one day become the next theatrical stars. Real life got in the way of their childhood dream when Hikari moved away, but Karen never forgot her promise. Years later, the two friends finally have their chance when they’re invited to a mysterious audition. However, the two are not the only ones who have trained for this moment, and they must now compete with others whom all share the same dream of performing on stage.
