“Smile of the Arsnotoria the Animation” To Stream On Crunchyroll
Streamer Crunchyroll announced that they have acquired exclusive rights to the upcoming anime adaptation “Smile of the Arsnotoria the Animation”. Crunchyroll will simulcast the anime as it airs in Japan as part of their Summer 2022 Anime Season. The fantasy anime is set to be released on July 6, 2022.
Crunchyroll will simulcast the series to audiences in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East and CIS. In addition, “Smile of the Arsnotoria the Animation” will be premiering episodes 1 and 2 at the 2022 Anime Expo in Los Angeles on July 2, 2022 as part of “Crunchyroll Presents: New Simulcast Premieres Round 2”.
The anime is based on the mobile role-playing-game, launched in February 2021, by Nitroplus, Good Smile Company and NextNinja. The game revolves around a group of students at a magic academy. Naoyuki Tatsuwa is directing the anime at LIDEN FILMS with Midori Gotou supervising and writing the series scripts. Takahiro Kishida is designing the characters for animation and Pony Canyon is producing the music.
According to the anime’s website, the story follows student girls who aim to be “true ladies” at the Ashram magic boarding school. The are in the lower class and live in the fifth dormitory. They are learning culture, etiquette, and magic. The game's main cast members are also reprising their roles in the anime including: Misaki Kuno as “Arsnotoria”, Miharu Hanai as “Mel”, Miyu Tomita as “Petit Albert”, Eri Yukimura as “Picatrix”, and Eriko Matsui as “Abramelin”.
