“The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated!” Anime Releases Additional Character Visuals
The official website for “The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated!” released three new character visuals to tease the upcoming TV comedy anime.
“The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated!” is set to premiere on July 31, 2021 in Japan and will run for two-cours (half a year). Crunchyroll announced recently the exclusive simulcast rights to the anime. The SILVER LINK animation production will be a part of Crunchyroll’s Summer 2021 anime season lineup.
The additional cast of “The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated!” includes: Sumire Uesaka as Mahou Shoujo ("Magical Girl"),
Yui Ogura as “Kokoro”,
and Mikako Komatsu as “Saurva”.
Previous cast announced included Naomi Ohzora as Jahy, Ai Kayano as Tencho ("Shop Manager"), Yōko Hikasa as Ooya ("Landlady") and Kana Hanazawa as Druj.
Crunchyroll Synopsis: After the Dark Realm falls and the Great Jahy is defeated, she must survive in the human world and in a one-room apartment!
The anime is an adaption of Wakame Konbu’s manga, known in Japan as “Jahy-sama wa Kujikenai!”, and is currently being published in Square Enix's Monthly Gangan Joker magazine.
Square Enix Manga and Books currently publishes the “The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated!” manga in the US in English. Volume 1 is set to be released July 27, 2021 in print and digitally.
