Yuri Anime “Volicia of Pluto -Vapor Trail Another Age 2006-” Released On YouTube With English Subtitles
The official website for “Volicia of Pluto -Vapor Trail Another Age 2006-” announced that “Chapter 1: Hellfire” will be available to stream for a limited time on YouTube in English and Japanese subtitles. The Yuri sci-fi will be available until August 31, 2023.
The independent anime project was created by 23-year-old AsH, who is listed as the director, editor, scriptwriter, animator, and cinematographer. Music was handled by nagiha with Kona a.k.a. Fukutarau in charge of the sound effects. Zerogosha is credited with production cooperation. The anime stars Mahiro Kusaka as “Akio Hoshigami” and Miho Mashiro as “Ayano Umisoe”.
“Volicia of Pluto -Vapor Trail Another Age 2006-” Synopsis: In 2006, Akio Hoshigami is a girl who lost her dreams of becoming a track and field athlete due to a leg injury, and has now entered high school with her best friend Ayano Umisoe. After joining a new club and making new friends, the empty Akio is gradually regaining her former self. However, one day Ayano suddenly disappears. (Trailer below)
A sequel to the anime was being Crowdfunded on the Campfire platform last month and it achieved its 1 million yen (about $7,032 USD) goal before the August 31st deadline. The sequel is set to be released in Winter 2024.
In addition to “Volicia of Pluto”, AsH previously released the “Gekijōban Vapor Trail” anime in 2021 and “Penetrate Blue -Vapor Trail Another Age 2824-” in 2022. Both are available to stream on Youtube.
