“Selection Project” TV Anime Releases New Key Art For Episode 3

The official website for “Selection Project” released new key art promoting episode 3 of the idol TV anime. The series is currently being simulcast on Funimation and is part of their Fall 2021 Anime Season Lineup.

The new visual features two of the leads, "Suzune Miyama" and "Reina Hananoi". The duo performed together in episode 3 to the song “B.B.” as Suzu☆Rena.

A clip of the song was released on Kadokawa’s official Youtube.

In addition, character visuals from their performance were released highlighting the outfit details.

“Selection Project” cast includes: Saku Mizuno as “Rena Hananoi”, Hinaki Yano as “Suzune Miyama”, Ruri Arai as “Nagisa Imau”, Mizuna Shirakawa as “Uta Koizumi”, Miharu Hanai as “Shiori Yamaga”, Shino Shimoji as “Mako Toma”, Hina Yomiya as “Nodoka Yagi”, Nozomi Nagumo as “Hiromi Hamaguri”, Hina Yomiya as “Nodoka Yagi”, Yuka Iwahashi as “Ao Yodogawa”, Saori Hayami as “Akari Amasawa”, and Daisuke Ono as “Sumipanda”.

“Project Selection” Website Synopsis: Held every summer, the biggest gateway for girls aiming to become idols, "SELECTION PROJECT". It is a longing stage for all girls who strive to become idols. And the place where the legendary idol "Amazawa Akari" was born. Suzune Miyama is also one who longed for such a dream stage. Having been sick since childhood, she listened to the song of the light many times in her bed in the hospital room.

In the last summer of junior high school, Suzune decides her challenge to her 7th "SELECTION PROJECT" to make her dream come true. The girls who challenge SELECTION are all children who have a strong feeling that is second to none, accumulated efforts, and extraordinary charm. Still, only a few stars are selected from among the thousands of candidates. Now, the hot and harsh battle of the girls begins to make their dreams come true.

Kadokawa originally announced the "Idol x Audition x Reality Show" multimedia project in December 2019. Kо̄ji Azuma launched a new manga for the project on Square Enix's Manga Up! app in Japan on July 11, 2021 and the story follows Akari Amazawa, the first idol to get her start through the “Selection Project” reality show. The series is animated by studio Doga Kobo with Daisuke Hiramaki (Asteroid in Love) directing. Based on the Blu-ray release details, the series will have 13 episodes.
