Kadokawa Releases Anime PV For Yuri Manga “Kaijū-iro no Shima”
Kadokawa released Friday an anime promotional video for their new Yuri manga “Kaijū-iro no Shima”. The first volume is set for release March 9, 2021 in Japan.
“Kaijū-iro no Shima” by Mitsuru Hattori, was launched in Kadokawa's Bessatsu Dragon Age magazine in September 2018.
Synopsis: Without a single friend, middle schooler Chigawa Kon lives on a small island and laments that she hasn't "fallen in love" yet, unlike her classmates. She often plays by "the Hole", a cave near the sea where a man-eating monster lives, according to folk tales. One day, as she meets with another girl who accidentally drops her smartphone in the sea, they fall from a cliff together but miraculously survive. It turns out Furuka is also all alone.
The animated promotional video stars Nao Tōyama as Kon Chigawa and Sumire Uesakavoices as Furuka Hitoto. No word as of yet if the manga will be released in the US or have a full anime adaptation.
