Seven Seas Licenses “Handsome Girl and Sheltered Girl” Yuri Manga Series

Publisher Seven Seas Entertainment announced the license acquisition of the Yuri manga series “Handsome Girl and Sheltered Girl” by mocchi-au-lait and majoccoid.

According to Seven Seas, “A case of mistaken identity blossoms into love in this lighthearted yuri/Girls’ Love manga!” Known in Japan as “Ikemen Girl to Hakoiri Musume”, the mature romance manga was first serialized in Comic Rex magazine in 2019. The Yuri series has 2 volumes in print in Japan.

Seven Seas “Handsome Girl and Sheltered Girl” Synopsis: When Okuma Satomi’s friend seeks her help wrangling guys for a crossdressing cafe, Satomi winds up with a boyfriend! Sort of. After asking her handsome and aloof classmate, Kanda Mizuki, to help out in the cafe, Mizuki agrees, but on one condition: the two of them must go on a date. Satomi eagerly agrees, delighted to have such a good-looking guy interested in her, but Mizuki realizes that Satomi has completely misunderstood something crucial: Mizuki is a girl! Will this case of mistaken identity blossom into something beautiful, or will the truth leave both girls brokenhearted?

“Handsome Girl and Sheltered Girl: The Complete Manga Collection” will be released for the first time in North America as single large-trim omnibus edition (Volume 1 & 2) in print and on digital platforms in September 2024 for $21.99 USA / $28.99 CAN. The manga will be a part of the Seven Seas GL label (Girls’ Love titles).
