Seven Seas Licenses “I Am Not a Succubus!” Yuri Manga Series
Publisher Seven Seas Entertainment announced today the license acquisition of the Mature-rated manga series “I Am Not a Succubus!” by Horitomo, through their Ghost Ship imprint for older readers.
Known in Japan as “Succubus Ja Nai Mon!”, the comedy manga is described as “a sexy yuri tale about a girl who wants to fit in at an all-monster, all-girls high school!”. The manga is currently being serialized in Young Unreal Jingai in Japan and has four volumes.
Synopsis: Adjusting to a new school is always rough, and that goes double for Sakura, a shy human who is transferred to an academy that’s monster girls only! Sakura’s new classmates include a kiss-curious harpy, a sarcastic lamia, a cyclops who has her eye on Sakura, and a plain-spoken centaur who treads cautiously down hallways full of lusty demons. Eager to blend in, and with a body that convinces, Sakura lies and declares herself a succubus. But can she keep up the ruse, and keep her new friends’ hands, claws, and scaled coils off her? It’s going to be one long, hot school year!
Seven Seas will publish the Mature-rated manga series “I Am Not a Succubus!” for the first time in North America in print and on digital platforms in single volume editions. Volume 1 will be released in May 2022 for $13.99 USA / $17.99 CAN as part of Seven Seas’ Ghost Ship imprint.
