Seven Seas Licenses Lezhin Webtoon “Pulse” For Print Release

Seven Seas Entertainment announced today the print license acquisition of the Girls’ Love/yuri dramatic romance “Pulse” by Ratana Satis from Korean webtoon platform Lezhin Comics. Seven Seas will release new English-language print editions of the Mature-rated comic in retailers across the world.

Synopsis: Mel, a renowned heart surgeon, is well-known for being a stoic loner. She views her erotic flings with other women as a tool for pleasure rather than a show of affection. When she delivers bad news to patients’ families, her cold nature can make her seem heartless. Then she meets Lynn, a beautiful and spirited cardiac patient who needs a new heart, but refuses a transplant. The two women meet with minimal expectations but soon become enthralled in a relationship that changes everything for them both.

According to Seven Seas, “This Girls’ Love comic--and first place winner of the 2nd Lezhin Comics World Comic Contest--is one of the most popular series by fan-favorite Thai creator Ratana Satis, also known for “Soul Drifters” and “Lily Love”. Now you can own this full-color yuri webtoon hit in a beautiful new paperback collection!”

Seven Seas will publish the webtoon graphic novel “Pulse” in print in full-color oversized editions. Volume 1 will be released in July 2022 for $19.99 USA / $24.99 CAN.

“Pulse” is currently available to read digitally on the Lezhin website for Mature readers. In addition, “Soul Drifters” and “Lily Love” are also available to read from Ratana Satis on Lezhin.

For those who may be unfamiliar with webcomics, Seven Seas Webtoon website says: “Digital comics that are typically full-color, read left to right, and are optimized for “vertical scroll” reading on smartphones. The format originated in South Korea as a new way to publish manhwa (Korean comics), and creators from around the world now create comics in the very popular webtoon format, in many languages and on various online platforms. Some of the most popular titles are also released in print.”
