Yen Press Licenses Manga Series “Bocchi the Rock! Side Story: Kikuri Hiroi’s Heavy-Drinking Diary”
Publisher Yen Press announced during their New York Comic Con 2024 panel the license acquisition of the manga series “Bocchi the Rock! Side Story: Kikuri Hiroi’s Heavy-Drinking Diary” by Aki Hamazi and Kumichou.
The manga is a spin-off of the hit manga and anime series “Bocchi The Rock!”. “Bocchi the Rock! Side Story: Kikuri Hiroi’s Heavy-Drinking Diary” was first serialized in Comic Fuz in 2023. The on-going comedy series currently has 3 volumes in print in Japan. Yen Press also publishes “Bocchi The Rock!” manga in English.
“Bocchi the Rock! Side Story: Kikuri Hiroi’s Heavy-Drinking Diary” is set to be released in April 2025.
Synopsis: Kikuri Hiroi—genius bassist of Sick Hack, terror of concert venues, eternal deadbeat, and all-around poor role model—has long held that there’s no problem you can’t drink your way out of. Whether it’s the failing economy, overdue rent bills, or just plain ol’ social anxiety, a quick trip on the spiral of happiness will help everything work itself out in the end…right? Surely her personal life isn’t a total disaster, right?! Find out in this spin-off to Bocchi the Rock!
