“Alice Gear Aegis” TV Anime Announced
The official Twitter for COLOPL's “Alice Gear Aegis” mobile game recently announced that a new TV anime adaptation is in development.
Along with the announcement, a promotion video was released to tease the upcoming anime. The teaser features footage from the OVA that was released in September 2021 and a new scene with Manami Numakura as “Yotsuyu Hirasaka”. Nomad studio will be handling the animation with Hirokazu Hanai directing.
The anime is based on the “Alice Gear Aegis”, a 3D mecha shooting mobile game developed by Pyramid launched in January 2018. In addition to the new TV anime, it was announced that the original game will be released on a game console later this year.
Game Synopsis: Humanity is threatened by a mysterious mechanical life form from outer space known as Vice, and players must control a group of girls called Actresses in a battle against the threat of Vice.
The OVA titled “Alice Gear Aegis: Doki! Actress Darake no Mermaid Grand Prix” was released in September 2021 with the purchase of a figurine. Based on what figurine was purchase, the buyer received access to one of the three versions that each had a separate ending for each of the three characters featured. The OVA cast included: Maaya Uchida as “Sitara Kaneshiya”, Eriko Matsui as “Yumi Yotsuya”, Atsumi Tanezaki as “Sugumi Kanagata”, Manami Numakura as “Yotsuyu Hirasaka”, Yui Ishikawa as “Fumika Momoshina”, Yuna Taniguchi as “Toka Shimoochiai”.
