“Bocchi the Rock!” Anime Set To Stream On Crunchyroll
Crunchyroll announced that they have acquired exclusive rights to the upcoming musical “Bocci the Rock!”. The streamer will simulcast the anime as it airs in Japan as part of their Fall 2022 Anime Season. The series is set to be released on October 8, 2022.
Crunchyroll will simulcast the series in subtitles in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East and CIS.
Crunchyroll Synopsis: A closed-off student whose passion is the guitar will have their life change after joining a band!
The anime stars Yoshino Aoyama as “Hitori ‘Bocchi-chan’ Gotō”, Sayumi Suzushiro as “Nijika Ijichi”, Saku Mizuno as “Ryо̄ Yamada”, and Ikumi Hasegawa as “Ikuyo Kita”.
CloverWorks will be handling the animation with director, Keiichiro Saito, and assistant-director, Yusuke Yamamoto. The series composition and screenplay will be done by Erika Yoshida and Kerorira is designing the characters. Music will be done by Tomoki Kikuya. The anime is based on the manga by Aki Hamaji launched in 2017. The manga is currently being serialized in Manga Time Kirara Max in Japan and released volume 3 in February 2021.
