“Extreme Hearts” Anime Reveals New Key Art, Cast And Summer 2022 Premiere

The official website for “Extreme Hearts” revealed cast, staff and the storyline for the upcoming anime with new key art. The original TV anime is set to be released Summer 2022.

According to the website, the story is “A little more about the future than the present. ‘Hyper sports’ is a hobby competition that is popular with children and adults alike. Hiyori Hayama is a high school singer who had nothing to do with such hyper sports. The story begins to move in the wake of a certain incident and encounter. ‘This is the story of us meeting our best friends.’”

The cast includes: Ruriko Noguchi as “Hiyori Hayama”, a second year high school student from Hokkaido. She made her debut as a solo singer-songwriter in middle school, and she is active in detail. She has a gentle personality, but her passion for singing and music is strong. An event she visits triggers the beginning of her story.

Miho Okasaki as “Saki Kodaka”, born and raised in Kanagawa, a second year middle school student. She was passionate about soccer when she was in elementary school, but she isn't playing now. Se is a big fan of Hiyori songs. She has been interacting with Hiyori since a chance encounter, and has a feeling of respect for Hiyori.

Kana Yūki as “Sumika Maehara”, a second year high school student born and raised in Kanagawa. She is a childhood friend and lives next door to Saki Kotaka. She loves Saki like her sister. She devoted herself to baseball when she was in elementary and junior high school, and was active as a pitcher in the Little Senior League team. She retired from baseball in the spring of the middle three, and she is now enjoying the life of a regular girl.

“Extreme Hearts” is an original anime from writer Masaki Tsuzuki. Junji Nishimura is directing with Issei Aragaki and Kana Hashidate serving as chief animation directors. The main cast is set to appear at AnimeJapan 2022 on March 27 and will reveal more details and a promotional video during the event.
