Funimation And Crunchyroll Simulcast Original Golf Anime “Sorairo Utility” OVA
Streamers Funimation and Crunchyroll premiered today the new original golf anime “Sorairo Utility” OVA. The surprise simulcasts were announced on their social media’s right after it aired in Japan and was posted on Yostar Pictures’ Youtube.
According to the anime’s website, the OVA follows “three high school friends Minami, Haruka and Ayaka. Though they have different tastes and go to different schools, they bond over their love of golf while introducing new player Minami, to the sport.”
The anime stars Miyu Takagi as “Minami”, Yurina Amami as “Haruka”, and Ayasa Goto as “Ayaka”. The main cast also perform the OVA’s theme song “Ultramarine Love Theory” as the music group HAM.
“Sorairo Utility” OVA is currently available to stream globally outside of Japan and Asia on Funimation and Crunchyroll in subtitles. The anime is also available to stream on Yostar Pictures’ Youtube without subtitles.
Kengo Saito directed “Sorairo Utility” (Sky-Blue Utility) at studio Yostar Pictures with Kota Nozomi as scriptwriter and Akira Amemiya as storyboarder. Saito, who is Yostar Pictures’ company director, stated on Twitter when the anime was first announced that, “I’m happy. I really wanted to make a golf animation.”
Yostar Pictures animation studio was launched in 2020. The studio also recently announced that it is producing an animated television series for the “Arknights” smartphone game.
