Original Anime “Lycoris Recoil” Announced For 2022 Release

Aniplex Of America’s Twitter announced on New Year’s Eve a new original anime titled “Lycoris Recoil” with a teaser visual and promotional video. The anime is set to be released in 2022.

The new anime stars Chika Anzai as “Chisato Nishikigi” (blonde girl) and Shion Wakayama as “Takina Inoue” (brunette girl). According to the anime’s website, the series follows “2 girls' absurd daily life”.

A-1 Pictures is producing the project with Shingo Adachi (Sword Art Online) as director. The anime is an original story by Asaura, and Imigimuru will be handling the character design. Adachi will be making his director debut.
