Funimation Announces “Girls’ Frontline” Anime English Dub

Streamer Funimation announced Thursday that “Girls’ Frontline” will premiere the English dubbing for Episode 1 on February 4, 2022.

Funimation also revealed the cast and crew for the upcoming English dub of the new action anime. The English cast includes: Michelle Rojas as “M16A1”, Amber Lee Connors as “M4A1”, Dani Chambers as “M4 SOPMOD II”, Alexis Tipton as “ST AR-15”, Katelyn Barr as “AGENT”, Elizabeth Maxwell as “Executioner”, Sara Ragsdale as “FN49”, AmaLee (Amanda Lee) as “FNC”, Kate Rose as “G36”, Bryn Apprill as “G43”, Arryn Zech as “Gentiane”, Anastasia Munoz as “Helian”, Morgan Berry as “Ingram”, Luci Christian as “Kalina”, Brianna Roberts as “MG3”, Hope Endrenyi as “MOSIN-NAGANT”, Sarah Wiedenheft as “MP5”, Emily Ernst as “Narrator”, Jad Saxton as “P7”, Marissa Lenti as “Persica”, Suzie Yeung as “PPSH-43”, Natalie Rose as “PPSH42”, Cristina Vee as “Scarecrow”, and Kristen McGuire as “Skorpion”. Morgan Lauré is the ADR Director for English dub.

“Girls’ Frontline” premiered on January 7, 2022. Funimation is simulcasting the anime in subtitles as part of their Winter 2022 Anime Season lineup.

Funimation Synopsis: In the fallout of nuclear war, the last of humanity survives with the help of life-like androids known as Dolls. Built to serve, some fight in wars as Tactical Dolls or T-Dolls. Now, an elite team comprising of T-Dolls are sent to face a new rogue threat, Sangvis Ferri. Leading them into battle is their new human commander, M4A1. 

Know in Japan as “Dolls' Frontline”, the anime is adapted from SUNBORN Network’s popular “Girls’ Frontline” mobile strategy game that was released in 2018 and developed by MICA TEAM. The anime was originally set to be released in 2021 but was delayed. Shigeru Ueda is directing the series with Asahi Productions handling the animation and Warner Bros. Japan producing.
