The official website for the anime revealed a key visual and promotional video for the upcoming TV anime. The series is set to be released sometime in 2023.

Based on the Yuri fantasy light novel by Piero Karasu, the anime will be directed by Shingo Tamaki at the animation studio diomedéa. Wataru Watari will be in charge of the series scripts and Naomi Ide will be handling the character design.

In addition, the official website announced the main cast and characters including:

Sayaka Senbongi as “Anne-Sophia ‘Anisphia’ Von Palletia”,

and Manaka Iwami as “Euphyllia Magenta”.

Publisher Yen Press is currently releasing “The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady” (Tensei Ōjo to Tensai Reijō no Mahō Kakumei) light novels and manga version for print. Volume 2 of the light novel is set to be released on August 16, 2022. Volume 2 of the manga is set to be released on September 6, 2022.

Yen Press Synopsis: Despite her supposed ineptitude with regular magic, Princess Anisphia defies the aristocracy’s expectations by developing “magicology,” a unique magical theory based on memories from her past life. One day, she witnesses the brilliant noblewoman Euphyllia unjustly stripped of her title as the kingdom’s next monarch. That’s when Anisphia concocts a plan to help Euphyllia regain her good name-which somehow involves them living together and researching magic! Little do these two ladies know, however, that their chance encounter will alter not only their own futures, but those of the kingdom...and the entire world!

Author Piero Karasu began serializing the story in the Shōsetsuka ni Narō! website in February 2019 and Kadokawa went on to publish the first print volume with illustrations by Yuri Kisaragi in January 2020. There are currently 5 volumes of the light novel in print in Japan. Artist Yuri Kisaragi released a commemorative illustration for the announcement (pictured below).

A manga adaptation of the novels by Harutsugu Nadaka began seralization in Kadokawa's Dengeki Maoh magazine in July 2020. There are currently 3 volumes of the manga in print in Japan. Artist Harutsugu Nadaka released a commemorative illustration to celebrate the announcement as well (pictured below).
