“Whisper Me A Love Song” Yuri TV Anime Announced
Publisher Ichijinsha announced on Friday that the Yuri manga “Whisper Me A Love Song” will be getting an anime adaptation. The official website revealed the first key visual, cast and staff details along with the announcement.
The anime will star Hana Shimano as “Himari Kino” and Asami Seto as “Yori Asanagi”. Based on the manga by Eku Takeshima, “Whisper Me a Love Song” (Sasayaku You ni Koi wo Utau) is being directed by Xin Ya Cai at studio Cloud Hearts. This will be the studio’s second only project since it was formed. The series composition will be handled by Hiroki Uchida and character designs will be done by Minami Yoshida.

Takeshima launched the manga in Ichijinsha's iconic Comic Yuri Hime magazine in 2019. The on-going series currently has 7 volumes. According to the publisher, the manga has 500,000 copies in circulation.
Kodansha USA is publishing the manga in English in print and digitally. There are currently 6 volumes released. Volume 7 is set to be released June 7, 2023.
Kodansha’s “Whisper Me A Love Song” Synopsis: Bubbly, energetic first-year high school student Himari falls head over heels for her senpai Yori after hearing her band perform on the first day of school. Himari tells Yori she just loves her, and, to Himari’s surprise, Yori says she loves Himari back! But when Himari realizes that she and her senpai are feeling two different kinds of love, she begins to ask herself what “love” really means…
