“Yuki Yuna Is A Hero” Season 3 Reveals 2 Additional Visuals
The official “Yuki Yuna Is A Hero” website revealed two additional visuals for the anime’s third season. The new season, known as “Yuki Yuna is a Hero: The Great Mankai Chapter” (Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru: Dai Mankai no Shou), premiered on October 1, 2021 and is currently being simulcast on HIDIVE as part of their Fall 2021 Anime Lineup.
The first visual showcases the six main characters from the first ever Hero Team: “Nogi Wakaba”, “Uesato Hinata”, “Takashima Yuuna”, “Koori Chikage”, “Doi Tamako”, and “Iyojima Anzu”. Based on the light novel “Nogi Wakaba wa Yūsha de Aru”, the story mostly takes place in 2018, in the final days of the Christian Era and is 300 years before the events of Yuuki Yuuna's Chapter.
The second new visual updates the TV anime’s key art with the additional characters. The key art now starts with “Sumi Washio”, “Sonoko Nogi”, and “Gin Minowa” from the prequel “Yuki Yuna Is A Hero: The Washio Sumi Chapter”. Then the main cast with “Nogi Sonoko”, “Fu Inubozaki”, “Itsuki Inubozaki”, “Karin Miyoshi”, “Yuna Yuki”, and “Mimori Togo”. Followed by the characters “Kusunoki Mebuki”, “Kokudo Aya”, “Kagajo Suzume”, “Miroku Yukaiko” and “Yamabuki Shizuku” from the light novel “Kusunoki Mebuki wa Yūsha de Aru”. Finally at the end, “Takashima Yuuna”, “Koori Chikage”, “Doi Tamako”, “Iyojima Anzu”, “Uesato Hinata”, and “Nogi Wakaba”.
The new anime season, known in Japan as “Yuki Yuna Is A Hero: Great Full Blossom Chapter” (Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru: Dai Mankai no Shou), has been filled with stories taking place after the first season of “Yuki Yuna Is A Hero” and then within the second season of “Yuki Yuna Is A Hero: The Hero Chapter” with the main cast, as well as telling origin stories of additional hero’s from the past.
HIDIVE Season 3 Synopsis: The magical girls of the Sanshu Middle School Hero Club have one goal: to make people smile whenever they can and to always help those in need. Through teamwork and the help of their magical powers, Yuna, Mimori, Fuu, Itsuki, Karin and Sonoko have vanquished deadly Vertexes, recovered a missing friend and balanced their lives as magical girls and regular middle school students. Now a new adventure begins, one that will test their skills and their bond as friends alike.
HIDIVE recently announced the acquisition of “Yuki Yuna Is A Hero” (Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru) Seasons 1, 2 and the “Churutto!” anime shorts and all are currently available to stream. The first season originally premiered in 2014 with 12 episodes. The original staff and voice cast returned with Studio Gokumi to handle the animation for season 3. In addition to the anime, the franchise includes manga, light novels and video games.
