Seven Seas Licenses “Futari Escape” Yuri Manga Series
Publisher Seven Seas Entertainment announced recently the license acquisition of the manga series “Futari Escape” by Shouichi Taguchi.
According to Seven Seas, “In this modern yuri romance, a professional manga creator and her slacker girlfriend try to relieve the pressures of adulthood by finding joy in the little things in life–and each other!”
Based on Taguchi’s doujinshi “Ninin Escape”, the slice-of-life manga is currently being serialized by Ichijinsha’s iconic Comic Yuri Hime magazine in Japan and currently has three volumes.
“Futari Escape” Synopsis: Two young women–one an overworked manga artist, the other a complete slacker–try to escape the realities of adult responsibilities. Whether it’s running off on a day trip instead of being productive or going into debt for an epic meal, the two always have fun when they’re together! Enjoy this delightful (and relatable) slice-of-life tale about the little pleasures in ducking away from the hard stuff.
Seven Seas will publish the manga series “Futari Escape” for the first time in North America in print and on digital platforms in single volume editions. Volume 1 will be released in November 2022 for $12.99 USA / $16.99 CAN.
