Seven Seas Licenses “The Summer You Were There” Yuri Manga Series

Publisher Seven Seas Entertainment announce today the license acquisition of the Yuri manga series “The Summer You Were There” by Yuama.

According to Seven Seas the series is a “sweet yuri love story, two high school girls–one a shy writer, the other a social butterfly–try to live out a romance novel!” Known as “Kimi to Tsuzuru Utakata”, the romance drama manga is currently being serialized by Ichijinsha’s iconic Comic Yuri Hime magazine in Japan and currently has two volumes.

Synopsis: Shizuku is a shy girl who hardly talks to other people. Instead, she loses herself in creative writing, crafting a novel that she never plans to show anyone. But when Kaori–Shizuku’s cute, popular classmate–gets her hands on Shizuku’s manuscript, everything changes. Kaori is a huge fan, and suggests that Shizuku can get inspiration for her writing if the two of them start dating! Can these very different young ladies create their own love story together?

Seven Seas will publish the manga series “The Summer You Were There” for the first time in North America in single volume editions. Volume 1 will be released in September 2022 for $13.99 USA / $17.99 CAN.
