Yen Press Licenses Yuri Light Novel “Did You Think My Yuri Was a Sales Pitch?”

Publisher Yen Press announced during their Anime NYC 2024 Panel the license acquisition of the Yuri light novel “Did You Think My Yuri Was a Sales Pitch?” by author Neru Asakura and illustrator Minori Chigusa.

Known in Japan as “Watashi no Yuri mo, Eigyou da to Omotta?” (Do you think my Yuri was also business?), the stand-alone light novel was first published by Dengeki Bunko in 2023. The light novel illustrator Minori Chigusa is best known for their Yuri manga series “Shino to Ren” and “Convenient Semi-Friend”.

“Did You Think My Yuri Was a Sales Pitch?” is slated to be released in February 2025 or March 2025.

Yen Press “Did You Think My Yuri Was a Sales Pitch?” Synopsis: Suzune Senmiya, a young voice actress, has been struggling for six months to get over the retirement of her favorite idol, Karin Kanezuki. One day, Karin shows up as a new voice actress in Suzune’s agency! While Suzune tries to play it cool and keep her distance, Karin aggressively closes the gap between them. And as Suzune starts to see unexpected sides of Karin, she begins to perceive her not just as an idol but as a woman.
