“PuraOre! -PRIDE OF ORANGE-” Anime Releases 2 Promo Videos
The official Twitter for ”PuraOre! - PRIDE OF ORANGE -” project released two promotional videos to tease the upcoming ice hockey TV anime. The series is set to premiere October 2021 in Japan.
Set in Nikko City in Toshigi Prefecture, “PuraOre! ~PRIDE OF ORANGE~” follows the athletic adventures of Manaka Mizusawa, a middle school student who becomes infatuated with ice hockey, along with her little sister Ayaka and her childhood friends Naomi and Kaoruko, after witnessing the Nikko Dream Monkeys practice. The girls officially join the team and experience the trials and tribulations of ice hockey together.
Promoted as "the first girls' ice hockey anime ever", the main cast includes: Riku Masuda as “Manaka Mizusawa”, Satomi Hongo as “Yu Kiyose”, Mayu Sagara as “Ayaka Mizusawa”, Saika Kitamori as “Riko Saginuma”, Asuka Shiori as “Naomi Takagi”, Yurika Moriyama as “Kaoruko Yanagida”, and Yoshino Aoyama as “Mami Ono”.
The seven main voice cast members sing the anime's opening theme song "Fire Fight!" under the group name "Team PuraOre!". Artist May'n will sing the anime's ending theme song "Orange".
Additional cast members previously announced include: Hisako Tōjō as “China Yoneyama”, Ruriko Aoki as “Juri Kikuchi”, Aina Suzuki as “Shino Ukita”, Eriko Matsui as “Runa Hirano”, Shizuku Hoshinoya as “Minato Shishiuchi”, and Kurumi Takase as “Mona Fujishiro”.
“PuraOre! Pride of Orange” is a multimedia project by CyberAgent's CAAnimation label and DMM Games. A game based on the anime is being developed and will be released sometime in 2021. Takebumi Anzai is directing the anime at C2C. No US distributor for the anime has been announced as of yet.
